BUILT ON SOLID ROCK

" And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it" (Mt 16:18).

The Lord said to Moses,  “Take the staff and assemble the community, you and your brother Aaron, and in their presence order the rock to yield its waters. From the rock you shall bring forth water for the congregation and their livestock to drink.” So Moses took the staff from its place before the Lord, as he was ordered. He and Aaron assembled the community in front of the rock, where he said to them, “Listen to me, you rebels! Are we to bring water for you out of this rock?”
Then,  raising his hand, Moses struck the rock twice with his staff, and water gushed out in abundance for the people and their livestock to drink. (Nu 20:7-11)

Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; let us acclaim the Rock of our salvation. (Ps 95:1)
LET US ACCLAIM

Acclaim means to shout praise or applause. It comes from the Latin word "acclamare" which literally means to shout.

Lord, I praise you for you are the Rock of my salvation! In you I am well nourished, in you I am saved. Although you stand mighty and strong as my God and Provider, you too have laid a foundation of faith, hope and love in me. With your love, even when I am weak, you become my strength. May you always be with me each moment so that I will always be as solid as rock in my faith and love for you. With much hope I pray in Jesus Name. Amen.
